GIN ICHIMARU
is the former captain of the 3rd Division in Soul Society, however, he has chosen to betray Soul Society to join Aizen in Hueco Mundo. Gin has a distinguishing smile on his face which tend to portray a opposite effect to whoever he meets. It is known that Gin has an unusual relationship with Matsumoto Rangiku as they have met many years before they became Shinigami. Gin is seen with a vast degree of speed during his battle with Captain Toshiro. His Zanpakuto is known as the Divine Spear (Shinso) which has the ability to stretch itself, piercing towards his opponent from a great distance.
